SUBJECT



"Acquiring" Is Displayed Permanently If No HD Signal Is Available



MODEL

Produced from 08/2010 with option 6FC (Radio MINI Boost CD) and option 653 (HD Radio)



SITUATION



When a HD radio station is selected, "ACQUIRING" is displayed permanently if no HD signal is available on that frequency. The message



"acquiring" will only disappear when the HD radio station is available again or by switching the radio station.



NOTE:



Audio from the main station (AM/FM) can be heard.



CAUSE



Application error in the radio



INFORMATION



Do not replace parts!



Explain the situation to the customer.



NOTE:



If the customer prefers, the HD radio function can be turned off in the radio settings. This would leave the radio in non-HD mode.



This Service Information will be updated as soon as an official field solution is available.

Bluetooth, Hands-free and USB Audio Functions Are Delayed After Vehicle Start



MODEL



All models



Produced between 01/17/2010 and 03/14/2010 with either option 6FL (USB/audio interface) or option 6ND (Bluetooth hands-free kit with



USB/audio interface) or option 6NE (Bluetooth mobile phone prep. with USB/audio interface)



SITUATION



Intermittently the USB audio (iPod/iPhone, MP3 player), telephone and hands-free functions are inoperative for the first 3 minutes after



the vehicle is started. Fault codes DE4E and 9308 are stored in the ULF (hands-free charge module).



This behavior happens more often during higher ambient temperatures.



CAUSE



Hardware failure in the ULF (hands-free charge module)



CORRECTION



Perform diagnostics using the latest ISTA version and work through any related test module(s). Replace the ULF module and program the



vehicle.



Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.2010 Mini Cooper (R56) L4-1.6L (N12)
