Sixt Rent A Car

The large part of vehicles sold at dealer auctions is comprised of off-lease returns, replaced rental fleets, company cars, repossessed vehicles and trade-ins. Another new feature is the Becker MAP PILOT that has replaced the previous APS 50 navigation system. Becker MAP PILOT: If you do not want to pay for the expensive COMAND Navigation System but still require navigation, the Becker Map Pilot is a good trade-off between a basic built-in system for a small price. It still has an acceptable level of luxury and comfort for a car in this class, while it does not cost as much as a fully loaded V6. On the other hand, the system is a major improvement compared to after-market systems (like a TomTom) that cannot be controlled through the cars controllers, while it does its primary function of navigating to the destination moderately well. Still, the tendency is likely rooted in function. The current BMW 5-series F10 however, has been designed by Adrian van Hooydonk. Although Adrian van Hooydonk was involved in the design of earlier BMWs, the current design of BMW has been much less controversial as its predecessors, in order to appeal to a much broader public then it did before.

As can be seen from the pictures above, the interior received a major upgrade in order to align the C-class more with the current design of the E-class and other recent Mercedes Benz models. Avantgarde package: Compromises of both exterior and interior features, giving the standard C-class a significant upgrade for a decent price. Normally the C-class is more trimmed towards comfort, but the sports suspension makes the ride firmer. Another nice feature is the new sports steering wheel, apart from the modern impression due to the chrome accents it also feels very nice in your hands. Although plastic materials are still used in the dashboard, it now feels more upscale and modern then the pre-Facelift model. But still the 5-series features the typical BMW design features, like the 2 seperate kidneys, the L-shaped tail lights, the 2 angels eyes in the front headlights, and the "Hofmeisterknick" near the rear of the car.

Other features included the Bluetooth-connection of both the phone and music on the phone, a USB-connection which also can be used to connect a music device, and a MultiMedia-connection that enables the phone to be charged. Produced by ZF Friedrichshafen, the ZF-8HP automatic gearbox features a larger spread of the gears which enable lower revs and less engine noise at higher speeds, resulting in lower fuel consumtion. Downsizing has been a major trend in Europe for the past few years, and technological advances have made the 2.0 liter diesel engine in the 520d the most popular choice for the BMW 5-series. Combined with the "efficient dynamics" components and the 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, it has an excellent fuel consumption. BMW also offers an 8-speed sport automatic transmission, which is basically the same automatic transmission but with an extra sport mode with shortened shift times, shift padles on the steering wheel and a different gear selector design.

About 10 years ago, BMW radically changed its design according to the new style that had been introduced by its then chief designer Chris Bangle. He became Director of BMW Group Design in 2009, succeeding Chris Bangle as the head of design for the company. In this test, BMW demonstrates this trend with its 520d. When it was introduced back in 2000 for the first time, only a small portion of the 5-series customers chose this engine. Mercedes-Benz impressively demonstrates the contrary with the new Mercedes-Benz SLK250 CDI. The top diesel choice is the GL 350 CDI with 265 hp, whereas the high-end GL 500 will be powered by the 4.7-litre biturbo V8 petrol unit probably rated at 408 hp, not 435 hp (just like the ML 550 for the U.S. If you want to look even more corporate, the GL-Class will be an even more sensible choice. Not only has the premium feel of the C-class improved, it also now has a more modern look to it. One of the main drawbacks of the pre-Facelift C-class was its interior design, it was too overloaded with plastic that did not match the premium feel one might expect from Mercedes Benz.
