First Drive: U.S.-Spec 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

By shims, I mean lengths of really heavy lumber, preferably hardwood because we are talking about one ton per tire, which can shallow up the tow bed angle enough to get this kind of job successfully done. OK, so, both the terrain and the substrate were favorable for the load-out despite the departure angle problem. OK, so, Joel's recommendation was to flat bed it the hell out of there. If it's a T1N upfit, by definition it's packed with stuff under there. 1. T1N upfits can never, ever, EVER be dragged. At Youtube you can find a video about nearly anything. They are bullet resistant and come designed with exterior and interior video surveillance, armored suspension, armored door hinges and other security features for giving utmost protection. I emailed Joel a 6-second video of the engine plus a description. The Tau DOHC all-aluminum 32-valve five-liter engine produces 420 horsepower. To reduce weight, the intake air throttle is of plastic for the first time in a diesel engine. I understand that my consent to be contacted is not a requirement to purchase any product or service and that I can opt-out at any time.

It's ugly, but it can be done. Nothing will be scuffed or scarred easily during regular use and there wasn’t any excess noise or rattling, something that can be quite common in commercial vehicles. Amazed that there are not more of these vehicles on the road in SA. And it certainly carries more beer. Like its more powerful sibling, the V6 also is mated to the same eight-speed transmission with gear ratios tailored to best match the engine application. If one or more wheels lose traction on a slippery surface, 4ETS automatically brakes the spinning wheels by applying a series of short pulses while consequently increasing the drive torque at the wheels with good traction by an identical amount. They are available the both all-wheel-drive and rear wheel drive platforms, rated in 0.5 ton 1500, heavy-duty 2500, and 3500 trim levels. K900 passengers may also operate the standard power rear window sunshade, and retractable rear side window sunshades are standard across all models.

The V8 comes standard with Kia’s first Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system3, which provides an audible warning to the driver if oncoming cross traffic is detected from the rear while the K900 is in Reverse. The K900 V8 includes as standard equipment staggered P245/45P-19 front and P275/40R-19 rear tires on 19-inch chrome alloy wheels while the V6 rides on 18-inch alloy wheels shod with P245/50R-18 tires. Whatever they have in their rear ends cannot be subjected to a near-ground experience, be it a generator, water tanks, whatever. Accessing a panel within the center armrest, rear-seat passengers also have the ability to control the vehicle’s ventilation system and may even fold the back cushion of the front passenger seat forward with the touch of a button. The speaker arrangement is custom designed for the interior of the K900 to optimize sound quality for every seat in the house. A used Mercedes Sprinter Van is the perfect van for the consummate professional, offering fantastic flexibility whether you are driving in the city or out in the country, as well as having a huge amount of interior space. For me, that is Joel Sell, aka Million Mile Sprinter. The coolest feature of this Sprinter van rental is that every aspect of the van from the entertainment to the seats to the computers and even the blinds are all controlled by touch screens on each side of the van.

One of the main reasons for outfitting your van with a ladder rack is to enhance safety and for this reason, the rack must come with features to facilitate this purpose. If you need to replace a blown fuse in your Sprinter 2500, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse. But no one will cross the Sprinter off their van-shopping list because it’s a homely beast, either. Which it should since it’s straight out of the new A-Class and will be headed across the Benz lineup in a hurry. If you're constantly making stops in the city or traveling longer distance in a rural area, the Sprinter will perform. We only use well-maintained, Mercedes Sprinter vans that generously seat 12, and our goal is to get you to wherever you are going in the style and sophistication that you expect. You sit up high, with great forward vision and, whether you go for the fixed seat or the suspension unit, the vehicle just floats along. Mounted on a sub-frame to isolate road shocks, the front suspension has coaxial coil-spring shock absorbers and a new friction bearing in the steering column to enhance straight-line stability and steering precision.
