The Sprinter's dimensions include 289 inches of body length and 7 foot ceilings. Car dimensions within Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 1500 model tend to change across years as new generations hit the automotive market with new body styling. It may be best to avoid this group entirely, unless the price of a luxury sport-utility vehicle is prohibitive or vehicular dimensions force a purchase. Although you may have seen Sprinters being used as cargo, delivery, or shuttle vans, the passenger version is a great option for those looking for a comfortable and attractive family vehicle. There is no rule saying you have to settle with a conventional passenger van when traveling with a group. The Dodge Sprinter Van is very popular among Couriers, Electricians and Plumbers. The other perks about the Mercedes Sprinter is that you can easily tailor it to suit your family's needs. When you consider how many people you can fit in it and all the extra cargo space you can't get from the competitors, it makes it a good deal.

These photos are the best way to get a good representation for the look of the automobile. Times are tough and fuel prices are high, but some of us can't transport all we need to transport in a fuel-efficient economy car. They may be adequate for the average nuclear family, but if you've got the makings of a small soccer team living under one roof, you might need an upgrade. It also offers a taller body than other vans, allowing one to stand up inside. According to Car and Driver, the Sprinter 2500 diesel passenger van offers 26 city MPG and 30 highway MPG, combined with the ability to carry up to 12 passengers comfortably, Sprinter blows its competition out of the fuel-efficiency waters. All the machines, including trucks, started to bear the Mercedes-Benz name and carry the 3-pointed star emblem. There are certainly some obvious future panel trucks out there right now, but manufacturers are still reluctant to bear the cost of developing these vehicles only.

If you and your family are in the market for a cushy ride with room to spare, the Mercedes Sprinter is the van for you. If you have ever been in the market for a new or used Sprinter Van you know how hard they are to find. Rear view camera is optional on the base models but Bluetooth streaming and power sunroof are standard. Since returning to the commercial vehicle market in 2004, they have created several trucks and vans that have earned "best-in-class" awards for fuel economy, including the Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab models. It has the lowest ownership costs of any van in its class and leads its segment in fuel economy, getting about 25 freeway miles to the gallon. That allowed Dodge's share of the total retail market for Class 3-5 vehicles to grow to 21 percent, with sales of its Sprinter also jumping up 21 percent last year.

Of course, Sprinter also offers a gasoline engine, though the fuel efficiency will not be a good, it will have a little more get-up-and-go than the diesel model. With a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 with 154 horsepower (optional 3.5-liter gasoline V6 also available), the Mercedes Sprinter gets better gas mileage and fuel economy than many smaller vans, so those long drives will be easy on the wallet. Much of the fuel efficiency comes from its diesel powered engine. Meanwhile, all the diesel engines that were working on low-grade fuel, achieved the "OM" index, which stands for "olmotor", meaning oil engine. In the past, diesel engines emitted an unpleasant odor and black smoke that made them undesirable to many, but today's diesel engines burn much cleaner and no longer produce these unpleasant effects. In 1923 another German automobile engineer, Karl Benz, designed a 4-cylinder diesel truck engine. The engine unit generated 4 hp from a capacity of 1.1 liters and provided the power for 1500 kg of payload.
