Sharing The Warmth Of Home And Family

At DST we want you to be able to get your Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 back on the road quickly and confidently. Do I Want One? Sunseeker, don’t buy a cheap class C buy one that is loaded with value. One can hardly mutter the words "German," "luxury" and "all-wheel drive" without invoking visions of Audi. The finale at Laguna Seca has double points on offer, meaning there are at most 266 points available to any one driver. The Sprinter’s optional safety technology includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, automatic forward emergency braking, automatic reverse emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a driver attention monitor, forward collision warning, lane departure alert, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera system, a 360-degree parking sensor array and traffic sign recognition. Around back, the coupe features a rounded rear section with contoured LED taillamps, a subtle trunk lip spoiler and a more demure emblem. Trunk capacity is reduced, too, and in a car of this size, it really is an oversight. It is not too off-putting -- you can still thread the new model along winding country roads with confidence -- but in a car excelling in so many other areas, you're left feeling the steering could offer more feedback to allow you to better place it in corners.

As with the outgoing model, much of what it has to offer is optional. Beyond that and the somewhat ordinary ignition key, it is hard to see how Benz could have improved it much. With standard amenities such as wireless internet, wet bar, privacy partition, laptop mirroring capabilities for presentations, tailgating options, comfortable and luxurious seating options and much more. Both sliding doors and the rear access are wide enough for a standard shipping pallet. There are signs of greatness in how its complex underpinnings cope with low and high-amplitude bumps and ridges on standard 18-inch wheels and 245/50 tires. At both low speeds around town and higher autobahn speeds it possesses a superb primary and secondary ride and unflappable body control. The real highlight though is the new Magic Ride Control system. The ride subtlety would do a Rolls-Royce proud, and yet there's the typical and distinctive Teutonic sense of purpose. If you seek a highly absorbent and miraculously supple ride, you'll like “comfort.” If it is a strongly damped ride with excellent body control you're after, “sport” will suit. Where it really presses its claim, though, is on undulating roads: It has a remarkable ability to control heave, pitch and roll -- the body always remains level.

The main impression after driving it for the first time is its remarkable level of overall excellence. Angled projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights give the fascia an athletic appearance, and the lower valance's LED turn indicators and mesh insets help lend the impression this is a vehicle capable of dashing through the snow with glee. Not that we needed any help shedding body temperature. We couldn't help but take comfort in the knowledge that, should we escape the fangs of our companions, it might be possible to use the dish-plate-sized emblem to signal low-flying aircraft. There are comfort and sport modes. Back-Up Camera, Diesel, iPod/MP3 Input, COMFORT PACKAGE, DRIVER CONVENIENCE PACKAGE, Turbo. The system provides the driver with not only maximum connectivity but also even more control over the car. The Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo Activity is based on the German brand’s people mover, the Valente, and can seat up to seven people with a host of features designed to make that road trip even more comfortable. The downside of this is that people are getting lazy to have real time interaction.

Throw in the fact that the three-stage heated buckets are warm enough to boil water and we were suitably smitten. The engine is exactly the same as you would find in any other S600, measuring 6.0 liters in displacement, two turbochargers, and a power output of 530 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque, which is enough power to move this almost 3-ton limo to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. The S-class has always been remarkably quiet, smooth and compliant, but this new model moves the game along enough to shock the luxury car competition. It is a terrifically soothing car to drive: fast, reasonably frugal, comfortable and quiet, its interior will spoil you both in terms of feel and function. Mercedes also boasted a new, updated interior as well this year. With the thermometer hovering around 16 degrees and a scornful wind threatening to rip our eyelids from our faces and beat us to death with them, there was no sanctuary more welcome than that of the C350 4Matic Coupe's interior.

Designers have given the 2012 C350 4Matic Coupe a decidedly forward-leaning profile with pronounced front fender arches reaching nearly to the hood line, a raked character crease that stretches from the taillamps to the lower front fender and a long, angled nose. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York is more than an international meeting place for top designers. We get the feeling that the advent of systems such as blind-spot control have allowed the designers more freedom, at the expense of basics such as uninterrupted visibility. Mercedes says the changes it has made are equivalent to shaving 100kg from the kerbweight, while the cooling systems are so effective that the double shutter grille can remain closed almost entirely from August to April, apparently. Here are a couple of Sydney’s budget tips for a DIY Sprinter camper van. And new last year is an option package that upfits the formerly rear-drive Sprinter to a bona fide off-roader.
