Picking An RV-Class B Motorhome Or Van Camper

The 2018 Sprinter van is available with only one engine: a 188-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 that boasts peak torque of 325 lb-ft and is coupled to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0-liter diesel is rated to pull up to 7,500 pounds in the Sprinter 3500 Heavy Duty. It's also rated to produce 188 horsepower, but its power peak is at much lower rpm and its torque output is significantly higher. In any case, the engine will likely develop between 200 and 300 horsepower and north of 400 lb-ft of torque. Now, we don’t know how many times you’ll be saying the word “Mercedes” while driving your Mercedes; just know that any time you even so much as whisper “Mercedes,” the system will respond, interrupting music or navigation or anything else you have going on at that moment. Yes I know, you’ve heard that before, but now you’re hearing it from a man who spent a large chunk of his life in the British building trade driving Ford Transits/Bedford (GM) CFs/Volkswagen LTs.

The van conversion company was founded in 2012 by Mike Neundorfer, a former mechanical engineer who sold his own pollution abatement company to start building campers and motorhomes, including The Last Resort, which was completed in January. In 2016, the company broke ground on a new $500 million facility in South Carolina to build its commercial vans. The plant will have the capacity to employ 1,300 workers to build an estimated 40,000 vans annually. Most will find its performance perfectly adequate for hauling the Sprinter and up to 5,000 pounds of trailer. But whatever the case, you're likely to find that the 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is an interesting vehicle. Mercedes-Benz formed its own department for safety development 65 years ago, headed by Austrian engineer Bela Barenyi. Building on the proven reputation of Mercedes-Benz vans, the new Sprinter and Metris set the benchmark for the segment in terms of safety while continuing their legacy of hard-working durability. The Metris is equipped with many advanced safety features. More than 26,000 Sprinters were sold in 2016. While that isn’t tops in the large-vans segment, management at Mercedes-Benz Vans - which oversees the Sprinter and smaller Metris - foresee plenty of room to grow.

Mercedes-Benz rolls out a turn-key upfit program for the Sprinter and Metris commercial vans called MasterSolutions. Mercedes’ commercial vans are pricier than those from Ford, Nissan and Ram, although with the new Worker, that gap has narrowed. The commercial van market is becoming ever more competitive. It was everything I hope it would be - and more. More stylish than ever, the Sprinter’s design evolution showcases a redesigned grille, fenders, lights, and a new rear window for greater visibility. New front-end styling brings the Transit into line with the rest of the Blue Oval brand’s commercial range, and includes a new three-bar grille, redesigned headlamps, a restyled front bumper and a new bonnet. The inside of the Sprinter includes a full bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, a bed, and multiple entertainment systems. Be it winter deliveries or off-road trails, the Sprinter is just better equipped to get you there, even more so with the optional low-range-gear setup.

Even if you are booking air tickets only, you will also get PNR number which is printed on your tickets. What kind of gas mileage does the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter get? The gas engine vans will have a nine-speed transmission. Buying less gas will quickly pay off the higher cost of the Sprinter. One rung up, M-B Vans will give the owner a radio and two additional dash vents for the HVAC system. But such vans have been in limited supply. To some thrift buyers and practical businessmen, there is still value to what you might have already thrown in dumps. In fact Mercedes’ spokesman said that the upcoming 2018 Mercedes-Benz X-Class is going to be the first true premium truck out there. So far they showcased two versions of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz X-Class. Mercedes-Benz competed in the world’s first motor race, the 1984 Paris-Rouen. The 500 K and 260 D, the world’s first diesel production car, were also produced during this period.
