But that doesn't mean that the SLS Black Series isn't a very satisfying car indeed. The SLS Black Series is a great car, with gains all round versus the standard car and - as far as we can tell after driving it on an entirely smooth racetrack - no drawbacks. The services are good, very affordable and you can even have a professional chauffeur. For 2013 the C300 and C350 have new 3.5-liter engines with ECO start/stop technology. The C250 is powered by a 201-hp 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, while the C300 is equipped with a 248-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine and the C350 gets a 302-hp 3.5-liter V6; all three engines feature direct gasoline injection. The time that we spent together with our fans and visitors in these three years was highly valuable and shed light on the continuous growth path we embarked on. Lister is looking to transform itself into the unofficial performance arm of Jaguar, similar to what Alpina is to BMW and AMG was to Mercedes-Benz before being brought in-house, so we will likely be treated with more Jaguars tuned by Lister in the coming years.

The facelifted G-class will continue to be offered globally with the choice of two different wheelbases: 2400mm in standard guise and 2850mm in long-wheelbase form. Daimler Chrysler is using the event to debut a host of new buses from its two manufacturers, Mercedes-Benz and Setra, as well as its Omniplus services range. The rear end is also accented with a total of 52 distinctively arranged LEDs in the two taillights. As with the outgoing G55 AMG, the G63 AMG also receives side mounted exhaust pipes that exit from underneath the rear doors on either side. Further up the line-up, the 12-year-old G55 AMG’s long running 500bhp supercharged 5.4-litre V8 finally makes way for a 544bhp version of AMG’s contemporary twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine in the new G63 AMG. Alongside standard G500 and G350 BlueTec models, Mercedes has also introduced a G55 AMG-replacing G63 AMG as well as a hi-performance G65 AMG performance flagship. Among the changes made to the G-class’s classic square rigged exterior is a restyled grille with standard models receiving three prominent slats in place of the older model’s seven slats, new headlamp inserts featuring horizontally mounted LED running light, redesigned mirror housings, altered tail lamp graphics and a new line of alloy wheels.
Drive is channeled permanently to all four wheels with a trio of differential locks providing added traction in the rough. The C350 adds a rear spoiler, heated front seats, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and satellite radio, while the C63 AMG is further outfitted with 18-inch aluminum wheels and AMG sport seats, as well as exclusive leather/simulated suede upholstery. The enthusiast-oriented C63 AMG boasts a hand-built 451-hp 6.3-liter AMG-tuned V8 engine. Start and test the engine. That diesel engine also makes 190 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque. The 1.8-litre S-4 would only produce 52 hp and 83 ft-lb of torque. Torque : 258 lb· Despite its smaller displacement, the engine boasts 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque - far better than the old motor's 382 ponies and 391 lb-ft of twist - thanks to a pair of turbochargers. The quirky cabriolet is also set to continue, but only in combination with the standard 383bhp 5.5-litre V8 engine as the G500 Cabriolet.
