Major Leeds Fire, Destroys Industrial site at Cross Green. Fire crews were called to Allied Glass on the Cross Green Estate just before 00:30 hours this morning (07/10/2016). When the first appliances arrived they were faced with an already well developed fire in a large industrial premises. This image shows a smoke plume rising from the fire in only one sector of the incident which covered an area of approximately 100 m x 50 m in size. The Incident was quickly increased to 20 pumps and 3 Aerial appliances, due to the severity of the fire with crews tackling the fire defensively. All surrounding roads in the area were closed to traffic whilst crews secured a water supply sufficient to tackle the incident. I do have a water pressure regulator and a filter on the RT. 25.
