SITUATION
Oil seepage is detected in the area of the oil filter housing.
CAUSE
Dimensional tolerances of the sealing o-ring of the oil filter housing cover.
CORRECTION
On a customer complaint basis, replace the filter housing o-ring with P/N 11 42 7 562 249.
Important:
Make sure that the o-ring groove in the filter housing cover is cleaned and free of deposits, and a thin coat of engine oil is applied to the o-ring
seal prior to its installation.
